Is Registration required?
Registration is not required, but please post your Will Attend log for the JCAT Kick Off and the GPS Maze events. Your will attend helps us more accurately plan for all attendees.
Do I have to pay to play?
No! The events, trail and GPS maze are free for all. Each person who turns in a completed JCAT passport will receive a free JCAT trackable tag (while supplies last). However, we do offer several event related items and packages in our on-line store to help support the events, JCAT and the GPS Adventures Maze. Purchasing a package guarantees you will receive the coin(s) and trackable(s) related to the packaged purchased.
How many caches will be on the JCAT?
There will be 14 stops with creatively built gadget caches for your enjoyment. Expect them to challenge your mind, make you smile and provide a sense of pride when you crack the puzzle.
How long will the JCAT take to complete?
The JCAT stretches approximately 80 miles through beautiful Jackson County. You should plan for the trail to take you approximately 15 hours to complete without rushing. If you purchased a package which includes the JCAT trackable tag, you are guaranteed to receive it upon completion of the trail when turning in your finished passport, so take your time and enjoy the adventure!
How do I get a JCAT trackable tag?
During the event weekend, bring your completed passport back to the event location to pick up your JCAT trackable tag. JCAT trackable tags are guaranteed if you purchased an event package containing the trackable tag. Otherwise, extra trackable tags will be available when you turn in your completed passport while supplies last. If turning in your passport after the event weekend, follow the instructions on the back of the passport for how to obtain your trackable tag. While supplies last, there will also be JCAT deluxe coins for sale.
How can I tour the maze?
The only way to guarantee that you’ll be able to tour the maze is to sign up for a time slot. Please sign up here, the earlier the better before the spots fill up! Make sure you arrive 5-10 minutes before your time slot so you can be checked in.
How long will it take to complete the maze?
Please allow 15-20 minutes to complete the maze. VIP packages include early access to the maze on Saturday night and priority access on Sunday and Monday.
Will there be a coin display in the maze?
Yes! There will be a couple hundred coins to view as you tour the maze. Some of these coins are quite rare and you may never have another opportunity to see them again. The TB codes for the coins will be available via QR code so that you can easily discover them using either Project GC or Log Them All.
When does the on-line store close?
The store will close on June 30, 2021 at midnight. All packages must be purchased before the store closes. Any remaining ala carte items will be available to purchase at the on-site store during the event weekend while supplies last.
